On the DVORAK Keyboard, the keys are arranged with the most frequently used letters on the home row, that’s the middle row and on the left hand you will see these letters, aoeui; those are the vowels. On the right hand the most frequently used consonants are there; d,h,t,n,s. Your fingers are 70 percent of the time on the home row versus on the Qwerty Keyboard we are off the home row 70 percent of the time. "
