"Hi! My name is Leta Koontz and I'm a yoga instructor at Schoolhouse Yoga in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I'm here today on behalf of Expert Village to teach you some arm balances. The simplest arm balance to practice is called pro pose. The nicest way to practice this is to get a block or if you have a solid book, and you're going to come onto your tippy toes onto the block or to a book. You're going to bring your hands the same shoulder distance that we just discussed, and you're going to bring your knees to the outside of your arms. Make sure that your elbows don't go off to the sides of your wrists. You want to keep your shoulder, elbows, and wrists in the same plane. You're going to sink your elbows back and you're going to squeeze your knees onto your shoulders. You're going to pick a point on the floor lower on your fingertips, and you're just going to start to come forward. Try to taking one foot and if you can, both feet up off the block or the book, and just keep looking down the tip of your nose squeezing your knees into your arms. Again, keeping your elbows in line with your wrists."
