"Most people, and I am sure I did too when I first learned how or I was trying, you comb the top because see there it’s not pulling and but look here down to the skin, see that one won’t even go through. You work with about half an inch at a time. I’m fast because I have been doing it all my life, but you should always start at the rear and have a destination from the skin out. Can you see that hang up there? That is down next to her skin because that looks like she is all combed out doesn’t it? Well, that is the top layer; bottom layer is not. Now remember don’t get too much hair in there. Their hair is very oily so when you see this like it might be hurting her, it’s pulling. I can feel it coming out and it won’t do that on a dog. If you don’t see that comb moving, then it is hurting. "
