Hi, I'm Fallen from and on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to answer some frequently asked questions about how to make a video resume. So, what is my unique selling point, otherwise known as USP?, and Why should I need One? The term USP stands for unique selling point. It seems self explanatory but you'd be amazed at the number of video resumes that do not provide the applicant's USP. You have to convince the employer to contact you and set up an interview. Use your USP to convince him or her that they cannot afford to pass up the opportunity to meet with you and learn about you in greater detail. Things to consider while developing your USP are, Number 1: Why Me, what do I have that other don't, and how would that qualify me for the position I'm seeking. Number two: What qualifications do I have that few others posses. Did I set a new sales record at my last job, did I win any awards or receive any special recognition, those are all things that are important to include in your video resume. Number three: What would my former co-workers or boss say about me as an employee. Remember, be creative, your unique selling point is yours alone and unique to you. Make it count and be sure to include all of that in your video resume.
