"Hi, everybody my name is Angela Pugh. I'm the mother of two teenage daughters, for a while I was a single parent. So today I'm here on behalf of Expert Village. I'm here to teach you how to apply for welfare. Now the next page will go through your household list. This is where you are going to need to get social security numbers and birthdays of everyone that you are applying benefits for. On this application it allows you to add the names, birthdays and social security numbers of your relatives. We already added ourself, we've added one child, it will ask you if you want to add another member of your family. If you do you just add their information, don't forget you can you must add their social security number and their birthday. Most times social security numbers can be found on your tax returns if you don't have the social security card handy. It's going to ask you the sex of the person that is applying for benefits and it's going to ask you if this person wants to apply for benefits, click yes and then continue. Then you will come to a page that will ask you to review all of the information that you submitted if you want to change anyone or if you want to delete anyone. It will also ask you do you want to add another member of your family, if that is it you click no, then hit continue. Now that you have completed all of the personal information that you need The Department of Children and Families want you to know your rights and responsibilities. What you have the right to, what your responsibilities are, please read this information carefully. If you have any questions you can always give their office a call if you have any changes to your household after you have applied. You must report those changes immediately no later than ten days after the change has occurred. For example, you have a job and you are receiving temporary cash assistance you must report that you have new income coming in. If one of your children graduates or becomes at the age of eighteen you may no longer be eligible to receive food stamps for that child and you need to report that within ten days."
