From Quick Guide: Using Images on Websites

Summary: There are many applications that you can use to make AVI movies, but I challenge anyone to find one easier to use than “Image to AVI." You can select your images and output an AVI file in seconds. This article will provide a step by step approach to using the software, which you can download for free from ASW at aswsoftware.com.

Instructions
  1. Step 1
    Change Frames Per Second
    Change Frames Per Second

After downloading and installing the software, double-click on the desktop icon to open the application. The FRAMES PER SECOND rate is set for movies and animation. Most movies are made at 30 FPS. If you want to make an animation from still images, this is the correct rate. However, to make a slide show of your images, you must change the frame rate to 1. This means that the viewer will see 1 frame per second. Changing this will automatically reset the REPEAT EACH FRAME counter to 1. If you want the image to be on the screen longer, enter a decimal like .5 into the FPS, which means the viewer will see one frame every 2 seconds.

  2. Step 2
    Adding images

Click ADD IMAGES, which will allow you to select images from your archive. Use the CONTROL button to select multiple images. Each image you add will show in the preview window. You can adjust the size of the border using the scroll arrows to make the border larger or smaller.

  3. Step 3
    Compile the Movie

Once you have selected all your images, you can select an audio file to play along with it. Click on INCLUDE AUDIO and browse and select your audio file. Check all your parameters and output location and click COMPILE IMAGES to make your movie.

  4. Step 4
    Changing the Background

You can also replace the black picture border with other solid colors or images by selecting OPEN BACKGROUND PIC. The background chooser has a preview and allows you to browse for any JPEG or GIF image you may want to use for a background.
