Tips & Warnings:

  • Do not type the quotation marks when entering information
  • Windows key + R is a shortcut to run
  • You may want to backup any important things on the drive but it is not likely that anything will go wrong
  • Make sure the drive that you are trying to convert is FAT32
  • In some cases you may be asked to do a disc cleanup before being able to convert
Step1
Fist go to Start, then Run and type CMD and click OK
Step2
Then type "VOL C:" replace C with whatever drive letter your changing and click enter, this will then display the drive label and serial number
Step3
Next type "CONVERT C:/FS:NTFS" once again use whatever drive letter your changing and click enter.
Step4
Next it will ask for the drive label which will be listed above from step 2, enter the label in and click enter
Step5
Once this is done Windows will do a file and folder verificaton and then convert, your drive is now NTFS
