How to play N64 Games on your computer

Introduction

Have you ever wanted to play those old Nintendo 64 games that you have on your PC? Now you can, and it's very easy to do.

Tips & Warnings:

  • Use Project 64 and that third link in google. Thats it.
  • Have some fun.
  • If you don't own the cartridge itself, then do not download the file, it is illegal in the United States, Britain, France, and Spain just to name a few.
Step1
Go to google.com
Step2
Search "Project 64"
Step3
Go the the first link, Emulator Zone, (anything that simulates a gaming system on a computer is called an emulator) and download the file at the bottom of the page. If any security messages pop up, click them and allow the file to download.
Step4
Install Project 64 using wherever location that you saved it to, and then run it.
Step5
Now, go to google and search "nintendo 64 roms" and go to the third link. There you should go to the Nintendo 64 ROMs section, and find any game that YOU PERSONALLY OWN or is not liscenced. If you do not own the game itself, then it is illegal to download.
Step6
Extract the files from the ROM that was saved.
Step7
Go back to project64, and go to File/ Open ROM. Go to the extracted folder and open the first file inside of it. The game should run, and the controls are specific to the game, you can find and edit them in the program.
