Tips & Warnings:

  • You can drag and drop attachments from anywhere, even network shares.
  • Gmail will not send out attachments larger than 19 MB. So make sure you resize your attachments properly.

Step1
Launch your Firefox browser and navigate to the following page:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2190.
Step2
Install the DragDropUpload plug-in from the page and restart your Firefox browser.
Step3
In Windows Explorer, navigate to the file that you wish to attach to your email.
Step4
Navigate to your Gmail account and create a new email.
Step5
Click on "Attach a File" to expand the option.
Step6
Now, instead of browsing for the file, simply go back to Windows Explorer where the file is. Click and drag it into the Attachment field in the step above. The field should now contain the path to the file.
