Tips & Warnings:
- Choose simple PIN codes so that you won't forget them, but don't make it too easy that others can figure it out. Avoid using your birthday if possible.
- Should you ever forget your password, you would need to do a hard reset. This means losing all of your important information. Write it down and store it somewhere safe, away from prying eyes so that you can always consult it should you need to.
Step1
Click on "Start" and then to "Settings."

Under the "Personal" tab, click on the "Lock" icon.
Step3
Check the box "Prompt if device unused for:" and specify a timeout for the password lock option.
Step4
By default, Simple PIN is used. This makes it easier for you to enter your PIN or password every time the screen is turned on. Choose your PIN or password at this point, making sure to enter it twice to confirm.
Step5
Click "OK" and "Exit." Your PDA should now be password protected.
