Tips & Warnings:

  • In direct sunlight, you might want to increase the brightness to the maximum setting.
  • Raising the brightness levels increases the usage of your battery. You will be sacrificing battery life for this. So choose wisely.

Step1
Click on 'Start' go to Settings.
Step2
Click on the 'System' tab and choose 'Backlight'.
Step3
Move the slider back and forth for each setting--battery or external power.
Step4
Click on 'OK' to save the setting and close the Programs list to head back to the Today screen.
