Tips & Warnings:

  • Blues worry about what others will think about them and can be easily influenced by others so make sure you spend some alone time to discern your resolutions.
  • Take a day for yourself. Treat yourself to a Spa day and spend time in your own thoughts before seeking opinions from others.
  • When you seek opinions of others, don't try to please and accept what is said as truth for you. Use their opinions as just feedback. Be resolved to listen to your inner voice.
  • Although Blue is your dominate personality, you have aspects of the other personalities to make up your personality blend. Take the True Colors personality test to find your personality blend listed in the resources area.
  • Read my article article on introverts and extroverts because how you gather energy is important to how you express your personality.

Step1
What do you value?
- Love
- Harmony
- Peace
- Feelings
- Authenticity
As you set your resolutions, how can you make them authentic and emotionally touch you? Turn your intentions into a series of affirmations that make you feel good about yourself. The key is to emotionally trigger a warm feeling about the intention. Connect with another person to serve as your "Life Coach" to help affirm your intentions to change.
Step2
What gives you joy?
- People
- Romance
- Meaning
- Spiritualness
- Relationships
One way to make your resolutions stick for Blues is to show meaning to yourself, your relationships or your work place. You desire authentic relationships and will do well to connect your resolutions to developing better relationships.
Step3
What gives you stress?
- Inflexible people
- Disharmony
- Conflict
- Autocratic work place
- Not making an impact at work
To help lesson the stress, develop a picture board for the results you want. Select pictures that conjure up positive emotions that you desire. Complete 1 to 3 resolutions that focus on your strengths. Pick one resolution that focuses on a weak area and complete the resolution before moving on to another. This will give you a sense of accomplishment and build your self esteem.
Step4
Love Strengths
- Creative
- Communicative
- Enthusiastic
- Warm
- Team builders
Pick one to two strengths to improve for yourself and/or your team. Since you like working with others, make group goals to elevate your personal performance.

on 12/31/2007 Dawn, thanks for the comment. The video is a clip of the Blue Personality type...included just to reinforce what the type is like via video. You can take the true colors personality test at http://www.mytruecolors.com/assessment.asp?q=1&userlink=0&associateid=263
You will get a 20+ page report on your personality. It cost 34.50 and people who have taken it said it was on the mark. It even pegs your personality for shopping and other areas of your life. By reading my articles you should get an idea of what your main type of the four different personalities. We all generally have one dominant type and then are a spectrum of the other personality types. I'm an Orange, Blue, Green, and Gold type. Probably more than you need but let me know if there is anything else in general or specific you would like to discuss or get more information on. Regards and Happy New Year.
