I have recently read a book that is fantastic! It's called UP WITHOUT MEDS.
It tells you how to CURE depression without pills (and their side-effects) or psychotherapy (and it's high cost). I got it on Amazon. It is inexpensive. You can also go to the website upwithoutmeds.com. I know about 20 people who have gotten, it on my recommendation, for themselves or for someone they know who suffers from depression and they think the book is terrific. It goes into not just the steps, but how to accomplish the steps. For example, the advice here "Think positively" is not really helpful to a depressed person because they are caught in a spiral. If they could think positively, they wouldn't be depressed to begin with. And step #2 here, well, a depressed person doesn't feel they can do something interesting or go to a movie when they are caught in the spiral of depression. If you're depressed
