Step 1
Place your palms on one wall at an even height with your shoulders as you stand. They should be at least a foot apart, with your fingers facing toward the ceiling.
-
Step 2
Push on the wall with your hands, while lifting one foot to the opposite wall with your chest facing toward the ground.
-
Step 3
Try to lock your elbows in a straight position, and simultaneously press hard with your foot as though you wanted to push the walls away from one another.
-
Step 4
Make sure you feel sturdy as you're pinned between the walls before lifting the other foot up.
-
Step 5
Suspending yourself between the walls, raise one foot and plant it a few inches higher on the wall, but never higher than your torso.
-
Step 6
Raise the opposite hand (if you started with your left foot, raise your right hand) and plant it a few inches higher on the wall. You will begin to climb higher.
-
Step 7
Continue in this fashion while always maintaining contact with the walls with three limbs for the sake of stability.
-
Step 8
Once you are at the top, you can scale back down in the same fashion. Take it slow because down climbing is a little more difficult.

on 11/19/2007 Dude seriously if your grandma is a secret ninja hiding in the shadows of a dark hallway I don't think dropping on her is a safe proposition for anyone! The worst thing about doing this is finding out you have wet drywall (hand goes through easily) lol

on 11/17/2007 My boys loved doing this and it was really good exercise for them, but I always worried about them. I used to pile up sleeping bags on the floor under them and they would tell me that It made them feel like sissy's. They are in their thirty's now and are happy I put the sleeping bags there.
