Video Preview

Summary: Hacky Sack has always been synonymous with free love and non-competitive recreation. It's about time someone added a little violence to the sport. Killer Footbag is a fun and easy game that carries with it the threat of minor injury. Any number of people can play it together, and it is a great way to get outdoors and pass the time.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Form a circle if you're playing with several people, but leave enough room between each other so that everyone has space to juggle the footbag.

  2. Step 2

Toss the hacky sack underhand to any other player to start the game.

  3. Step 3

Use every limb but your arms to hit the hacky sack three times. After the third time it's hit, the footbag becomes live and stays live until it hits the ground.

  4. Step 4

If the footbag touches the ground, the closest person serves it to another player and the game starts again.

  5. Step 5

The Striker: If you are juggling the hacky sack while it's live, kick it as hard as possible at any other player in the circle.
Other Players: Once someone has set up to strike the footbag, you are only allowed to pivot on one foot to dodge it.

  6. Step 6

After a strike, if you are hit anywhere but the foot by the hacky sack, try to keep it in play. Kicking the footbag before it touches the ground negates the hit against you, so it's in your best interest to keep it live. Plus you then have the opportunity to kick it at someone else.

  7. Step 7

Once someone has been hit three times and each time the footbag touched the ground after the hit, the player must stand against a wall and allow each of the other players to throw the hacky sack at him from a reasonable distance (the strength and accuracy of players varies, but at least 40 feet is recommended). After everyone has thrown, that player's hits drop back to zero and the game continues.
