The first thing that you should do is click the "Start" icon on the desktop screen. -

Windows Vista Start MenuOnce you click on the Start icon, the start menu will appear. Simply find and click on "Control Panel".

Windows VistaOnce the Control Panel is open, you will need to locate and click on the "Ease of Access Center".

Microsoft Windows VistaOnce the "Ease of Access Center" opens, locate the "Start Narrator" option and click on it to open.

Yes, your computer can talk!Once you click on "Start Narrator", a new window will pop up. This is the "Microsoft Narrator" settings screen. This is where you can customize the Narrator. We will first click on "Voice Settings".

ok!On this screen, you can select a male or a female voice, how fast that they speak, as well as the volume and pitch in which they speak. Once done, click "OK".

If you would like to learn more about Narrator, simply go to "Help" on the Microsoft Narrator settings screen, then select "About Narrator". Once you are done with the settings screen, hit the close button in the top right hand corner.

A window will pop up asking if you are sure you want to exit Narrator, click "Yes".

You will now be redirected back to the Ease of Access page. Simply hit the "x" in the top right hand corner to close this screen. You have now set up Narrator in Microsoft Windows Vista!

on 3/6/2009 I can not honestly say I even thought about vista and any narration ability of it to read documents. I have always traditionally used Adobe Professional or something else. This is good to know. Have made it a favorite for others to see on my site also. Thanks. With 12,619 views of this video, it's amazing to may that there are only FIFTEEN ratings.
