Step1
In switch maneuvers, you are doing everything with the opposite foot or side. For backside spins, your front arm is what initiates your spin as you bring it around to your back shoulder.
Step2
The amount of force you use to swing your arm and shoulder across your body will determine how fast you rotate through the air.
Step3
Switch backside spins will have you spinning blind to the fall line and take real commitment. Ride up to the lip with a counter carve and pop off your toes.
Step4
Ride into that hit and do what you already know like turning your head and shoulders to get you into the spin. Use your arms to build momentum and keep your center of gravity close to your board and work in the grab for rotation and style. Strive for the full rotation that your spinning is looking for and make sure if you are trying for a Switch BS 540 move that you will land in your normal stance and blind.
