Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Plug in and preheat the sandwich machine. Allow the sandwich machine to heat up for about 5 minutes.

  2. Step 2

    Finely dice a small onion.

  3. Step 3

Spread butter on each slice of bread.

  4. Step 4

Slice the cheese. You will need about four slices of cheese per sandwich.

  5. Step 5

Place two slices of bread, butter side down, in the sandwich machine. Lay two slices of cheese in each sandwich and add some diced onion. Cover with the remaining cheese, finally adding the remaining slices of bread on top, butter side up.

  6. Step 6

Close the sandwich machine and cook for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.

  7. Step 7

    Enjoy.

on 1/2/2009 Shouldn't you split the sandwich apart before eating it? Isn't that the reason for the ridge in the sandwich maker? Nice job! I'll have the add an American version sometime... (both the country and the cheese)

on 7/12/2008 Was this made for Downy's? I thought it was a comedy at first. At least you grill both slices at the same time. Other how-to's say to grill one side, then turn the sandwich over and grill the other side, and that's just Downy.

Onions!?! Really.
