This article and video will show you how to make one of everyone's favorite snacks, the grilled cheese sandwich. I like to spice mine up a little by adding some diced onion.
If the butter is too hard to spread, microwave the butter for 10-15 seconds.
Cheese may leak form the sandwich causing it to stick to the machine, carefully use a knife to remove the sandwich from the machine.
Be careful not to burn yourself with hot melted cheese.
Also, be careful when you bite in to the sandwich not to burn your mouth on the melted cheese.
Step1
Plug in and preheat the sandwich machine. Allow the sandwich machine to heat up for about 5 minutes.
Step2
Finely dice a small onion.
Step3
Spread butter on each slice of bread.
Step4
Slice the cheese. You will need about four slices of cheese per sandwich.
Step5
Place two slices of bread, butter side down, in the sandwich machine. Lay two slices of cheese in each sandwich and add some diced onion. Cover with the remaining cheese, finally adding the remaining slices of bread on top, butter side up.
Step6
Close the sandwich machine and cook for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.

Was this made for Downy's? I thought it was a comedy at first. At least you grill both slices at the same time. Other how-to's say to grill one side, then turn the sandwich over and grill the other side, and that's just Downy.
