
The urban legends are true. The makers of Mentos, a candy that is most identifiable for its ridiculous commercials, have another dubious feat to add to their product's already auspicious repertoire. For chemical reasons that we do not fully understand, adding Mentos to Diet Coke (and probably other carbonated beverages) produces volatile results. Just look at the video, then read the steps to replicate this simple household science experiment on your own.
