Introduction

This is a quicktime video of a powerpoint explaining how to solve equations. Students are taken through one step, two step, and multi-step equations. Students are also taught how to solve inequalities. Short quizzes are available at the end of each concept to give students a chance to practice and check what they have learned. Ideal for reviewing concepts and learning concepts missed in the classroom.

It is important to understand that this is not the only way to solve equations. Some teachers like to show other methods. This is the easiest way that I have found to teach solving equations. The best advice I can give for solving equations is to practice, practice, and practice.
Not every kind of equation is shown in this video. The video gives some basic steps and examples of how to solve equations
