How to Make Fruit Punch

This recipe is a standard, classic non-alcoholic fruit punch. (You can add alcohol for an adult party; see Tips.) It's as easy to mix together as a packaged mix, and tastes much better. This recipe makes about a gallon.

Difficulty:
Easy

Instructions

Things You'll Need

  • 1 qt. fresh orange juice
  • 1 qt. sweetened cranberry juice
  • 1/2 qt. pineapple juice
  • 1 c. lime juice, or juice from 5 to 6 fresh limes
  • 1 qt. ginger ale, chilled
  • ice cubes or ice block
  • Groceries
  • Punch Ladles
  • Punch Bowls
    • 1

Chill all ingredients well, if possible. This step isn't crucial, but it will help preserve the bubbles in the ginger ale and cause less ice to melt and dilute the punch.

    • 2

Combine the fruit juices in a punch bowl and mix well.

    • 3

Stir in the ginger ale slowly and gently, trying not to release too much carbonation.

    • 4

Taste the punch and add more juice if necessary.

    • 5

Place the ice cubes or ice block in the punch bowl and serve.

To go along with the rainbow sherbet, Add 7-up or Sierra Mist. It'll taste real good.

Classic fruit punches are also made with tea. You can try flavoring your fruit punch with tea - it makes a big difference.
