Powder sets your makeup, creating a shine-free, even finish. Use loose powder at home, and carry a pressed powder compact for a midday touchup.

on 11/22/2005 This is best with loose powder. After you apply the foundation, apply a (loose) translucent powder and softly press it into the foundation. Then dust off the excess powder. Apply a very fine, very light mist of water over the powder and let it air dry. When I say a fine mist, I mean a very fine mist. The best way to apply a fine mist is to fill the sink with the hottest water from the tap and let the steam rise up on your face. You can repeat this process if you like. After it has completely dried, add another dusting of powder.

on 11/22/2005 I always apply a little more powder to the T-zone area, because this area tends to melt by mid-day; causing my makeup to cake. I use a puff to apply powder to the T-zone, then a large powder brush to dust powder over the rest of the face in downward motion. This way, I never need to touch-up my makeup and my T-zone stays oil-free all day!

on 11/22/2005 Don't wear powder. It's a lot less trouble, and better for your skin.

on 11/22/2005 Apply your blush all over your face lightly. Then put some mostly on your cheekbone and work your way up to your eyebrow.
