Hi, I'm Travis Hettenbach with LED Source. Have you ever wondered what type of LED bulb works for a high ceiling? Well, it's important that you understand that, because if you use the wrong kind, you may not have enough light, because a higher ceiling may need more light down in your area. So it's important to have the right one. So a couple things to watch for. Lumen output, that's the important part, because that tells you how much light is coming from that bulb. The higher the number, the more light output. Now how much you need depends totally on your ceiling heights, but if you're figuring on a 12 to 14 foot ceiling, you probably need something with close to a 1000 lumens or more. If you have really really tall ceilings, like let's say 20 feet or more, look for an even larger recessed can, or even a commercial grade application that has 2,000 lumens or higher. Beam spread is also really important because different LEDs actually give you the option of a wider pattern or a more narrow pattern. The higher the ceiling, the more narrow the beam you need in order to punch that light down farther and throw longer distances. That's what you need to look for when you're looking for an LED for a high ceiling. It's important that you have the right amount of light. I'm Travis Hettenbach with LED Source, thanks.
