I'm Gene West and this curtain rod pocket dimensions. What is a rod pocket? A rod pocket is the area where you thread or insert the curtain rod through the pocket of the curtain. Here are two examples of the most common size rod pockets. The narrow rod pocket usually allows the curtain rod to be inserted and installed much easier since the pocket is much larger than the diameter of the rod itself. A wide pocket or a pole top curtain has a three inch pocket designed for a two and a half inch wide pocket curtain rod or a one and a quarter inch diameter decorative curtain rod. When purchasing your window treatments, be certain to take note of the size pocket they have. This way you can purchase the right curtain rod for that pocket.
