Hi, I'm Chef Phillip Dell. And we're going to be baking up some amazing maple walnut spiced cookies with white chocolate cinnamon frosting. Did you just hear? That's like my favorite of all kinds, homemade cookies, it doesn't get any better. So, check this out. We're going to start out by making the cookie dough. In a large bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar, add the egg, ample syrup and vanilla. Mix well until blended. Add chopped walnuts and blend to combine. This will help scrape the bowl. Sift of whisk together the flours, baking soda, salt and spices. Add this mixture to the cream mixture and stir until well blended. Once it's completely finished, remove it from the mixture and shape it into one inch balls or use a half ounce scoop. Scoop the dough onto parchment lined cookie sheet or lightly greased cookie sheet. Dry not to use the dark pan, they tend make the bottoms of the cookie a little too dark. Place the cookie sheet into a preheated 350 degree oven for about 10 to 11 minutes. After the cookies come out, allow them to cool completely before icing them. So, while the cookies are cooling, the next thing we're going to do is make the white chocolate cinnamon frosting. Oh, man, my mouth is watering, I can't wait, I just can't wait. So, in another mixer, we're going to add together the soft butter, melted white chocolate. And we're going to mix that on low speed until it's smooth. Scrape down the bowl and mix a little more. Scrape the bowl one more time, add the sifted powered sugar and cinnamon, scraping the bowl between each addition. Mix slowly until completely combined and smooth. Now you're ready to go to the best part of it all, icing the cookies. Oh, wait a minute. I think the best part of it all is eating. So, what we're going to do is we're going to tale one of the cooled cookies. Now, make sure they're cool. If they're not cool all the way, the butter that's in the icing will melt. And so, the next thing we're going to do is we're going to take a little bit of the frosting. And we're just going to ice the top of each of the cookies, place them on onto a tray, and enjoy them. Speaking of enjoying them, I'm sorry, I just can't help myself. I just you know, I just can't resist. I'm Chef Phillip Dell. And we just baked amazing, amazing maple walnut spiced cookies with white chocolate cinnamon frosting. Ah, enjoy.
