Hello, my name’s Steven Lee. And today, I’m going to answer the question, “Can you wash out more than one tie-dye t-shirt at a time?” The answer is yes, you can. So, let’s go to the washroom and find out how. I wash out the loose dye from tie-dyes the same way whether I’m washing out one shirt, or 100 shirts. The first thing I do is leave the shirt tied up, take it to a sink, and flood it with cold running water. I’m going to put the shirt in the sink and rinse it. And, as you can see, a lot of loose dye comes off the shirt – that’s normal. So, the cold-flowing water will carry away the loose dye and keep the colors from running together, and keep the white areas – if any there are – white. So, I’m going to rinse and rinse until I get sick of rinsing this. Then, I’m going to untie the shirt, and I’m going to throw it in a washing machine full of warm soapy water. And, I’m going to finish washing the loose dye in the warm soapy water with all the shirts untied and in there together. So, now you can stop worry about washing more than one tie-dye at a time, because it’s very easy to do. Now, go out and tie-dye!
