Hi, this is Rekha Krishnamurthi at Bridal Reflections. In this video, I’m going to talk about the purpose of a wedding dress train. Traditionally, the length of the wedding dress train represented your stature in society. But today, a wedding dress train comes in a variety of lengths, and is a very elegant feature of the wedding dress. For example, this sweep style of train is the most versatile, and it’s the shortest train. It can be worn during any season. Next, we have a cathedral-style train, which is more suited for a formal wedding, and it’s longer than the sweep style train – it measures about seven feet from the waist. Finally, we have the royal train. As the name suggests, it is for the bride who wants to make a significant statement, and is fitting for a very grand wedding.
