Hi, my name is Susan Combs, and today we're going to talk about motorcycle insurance information. When it comes to motorcycle insurance it's very very similar to automobile insurance. If you have a motorcycle and you are going to drive it on the street, you have to have it insured. So typically what the insurance covers is it's going to cover your property, it's going to cover property of others and then it's going to cover medical payments if you become injured or you injure somebody else. And there's a lot of different carriers out there and each state has their own limits for requirements. So the best thing to do is to contact your state first and see what the limits are and then after you find out what the limits are, contact a broker or a carrier that specializes in motorcycle insurance and they can help shop the different carriers for you and make sure that you understand what you are getting because maybe you have a bike that's not worth a lot so you might decide that you don't want your property covered but then you want to have the property of others covered which would be mandated as well as the medical payments.
