Hi, my name is Christina, and this is different ways to get your two year old to go to sleep. Every family has a different parenting philosophy but there are a few universal things that you can do to help your toddler sleep. What's most important is knowing what calms your child and what signals sleep for them. For some children a bath invigorates them and makes them really excited. For others it's calming and they are ready for bed. Some children really enjoy reading books but for others, it might get their imagination going and you might have a harder time getting them to go to sleep. What I have found most important is having a routine because every night we do the same thing and that signals that bedtime is coming and they start winding down. At two years old, a child is still very dependent on comfort items. For some people that comfort is nursing. For others it might be a stuffed animal, a pacifier or a blanket, something that helps them feel safe and calm. No matter how your family flows, the key is staying consistent. All children like consistency and function better when it's there. Thanks for watching.
