Hi, I'm Chris Burke, better known as Mr. Faux, and today I'm going to talk about how to decorate rough plaster. The materials you will need are painter's tape, glazing liquid, rags, roller and a roller tray. Also eggshell latex paint. Before you begin, make sure you tape off all the edges in the room you will be painting. This is to ensure you will have clean and perfect lines. First you are going to paint the wall with two coats of eggshell paint and let dry. The next step is to mix the paint with the glazing liquid, this will be two parts glaze to one part paint. Pour the glazed mixture into the paint tray, now load your roller. Next, apply the paint to the wall surface. Please be aware you will be working in three by three sections. The reason you will be working in three by three sections is because you do not want the glaze to dry on you before you create your effect. After the first section is painted, take your rag and dab on the wall, you are doing this to remove the glaze and make a pattern. Now you have a masterpiece. This is Chris Burke, better known as Mr. Faux. Today, I showed you how to decorate rough plaster.
