Hi my name is Luke and this is how to make a video call on my laptop. If you'd like to make a video call for business or personal reasons, the first thing you are going to need to make sure is that you have a webcam. You are also going to want to have a microphone so you can talk to the individual. If you have both of these requirements, the next thing you're going to want to do is download and install a program called Skype. Skype is what Microsoft recommends that you use to make video calls. It's available free to download from You will have to create an account and you can only call other Skype users. Another great video program if you have Gmail is called Gchat. It's available on Google Plus. Once installed through your Gmail, log in and click on the video icon. Here a prompt will appear and you can start to invite people either by their Google names through Google Plus or just by adding the email address. Last option for more business reasons would be to use Go to Meeting. This allows for screen sharing and a few other extended capabilities. However Go to Meeting isn't free but they do offer a free 30 day trial from their website. And that's it.
