Hi, I'm Charlie Kasov, and this is the definition of the line of best fit. Now the line of best fit is a line that best represents the data in a scatter plot. What's a scatter plot you might ask? It's a table of data on an x,y graph, so we have x, we have y, and it's all over the place. There is no obvious linear correlation between all the points. So, we'll make it nice and messy, but I'm weighting the data towards more towards the top half, so I would draw a scatter plot that would be more towards the top. So something like that as opposed to down here, this would be the line of best fit because more of the points are closer to the line, as opposed to say here where it's close to several points, but it's not close to more of the points. So I'm Charlie Kasov, and this is the line of best fit.
