Hi, I'm Charlie Kasov, and this is what is the opposite of one divided by x. Now, one divided by x is also called a reciprocal, or a multiplicative inverse. So the opposite of one over x would be x over one, in which we would multiply and we would get one times x equals x, x times one equals x, and this equals one. The idea is any number times its reciprocal should equal one. That's the multiplicative inverse. If we did one over three, we would take that multiplied by three over one, we'd get three over three, which would equal one. And that is how you find the multiplicative inverse.
