Hi, I'm Charlie Kasov, and this is, is rolling a dice an example of a discreet or a continuous random variable? Now the answer is it's a discrete variable because it has a limited set of outcomes. When you roll a dice, you can get a one, two, three, four, five or six. That's it. If it were a continuous random variable, every number between one and two would be okay. Every number between two and three would be okay, and so on to six, meaning you could roll a dice and get a 3.0000005. Three point zero, zero, zero, zero, five. That would not happen when you roll a dice, but that's a good way to remember this would be a continuous random variable, whereas just plain old three would be a discreet.
