Hi, I'm Charlie Kasov, and this is how to find the diameter of an ellipse with a triangle inside. Now let's draw a couple of ellipses. Now, to find the diameter of an ellipse you have two choices. You can find the minor diameter, which is the longest line across the shorter dimensions of the ellipse, or the major diameter, which is the longest line across the longer part of the ellipse. So if you needed to find it with a triangle inside, you would need the triangle to have one leg that is the minor diameter, and then you'd be able to find it based on the lengths of these, or just knowing this length with the ruler. Same goes for this, in which you would have a triangle in which the longest leg was the major diameter, and you could find it from these two or with a ruler. So I'm Charlie Kasov and that is how you find the diameter of an ellipse with a triangle inside.
