Hi, my name is Chef Syd Marshal, and this is "how to make stickier rice." Sticky rice is made with Thai glutenous, or sweet rice. We're gonna start by taking two cups of our rice, putting it into our pan with three and a half cups of water. We're gonna let this soak for about half an hour, otherwise, we're gonna end up with crunchy rice. Once it's soaked, we're gonna put it on a high heat 'til it starts to come to a slight boil. Once it's boiling, we're gonna turn the heat down and let it simmer for about another 15 minutes. We want it to cook 'til all the water is absorbed. Once all the water is absorbed, we're going to cover it tightly and let it sit for an extra 10 to 15 minutes, just to make sure it's thoroughly cooked. It will stay warm this way up to two hours. After the 10 to 15 minutes, it's ready to serve. And, there you have "how to make stickier rice."
