Hi, my name is Christina, and this is what is a one year old supposed to be eating. There are general dietary guidelines that we are all supposed to abide by and babies should be having a wide variety of healthy foods. If you are serving your family healthy meals, there is no reason to make your baby special foods. At one year's old, they are generally able to pick things up off their high chair or off their plate and feed themselves. They are also able to chew on soft fruits, vegetables, grains and even full dishes, whatever you are making yourself or the rest of your family you can just chop it up smaller and feed it to them. There's really not a lot of restrictions for a one year old, as long as they are eating a fairly healthy diet. The only thing to be concerned about are things that are fairly tough or hard like beef or vegetables that aren't cooked until they are soft. If anything is circular shaped or look like it could possibly choke them, you just chop it up smaller. The Word Health Organization recommends that a baby is nursed for a minimum of two years. If your one year old is already weaned, there are nutritious things you can give them like full fat milk and healthy yogurt. Thanks for watching.
