Hi, my name is Christina and this is can you switch from breast to bottle feeding. Every baby is different and has a preferred way of feeding but there are some things you can do to make the transition a little bit more smooth. There are many brands of bottles and not all are created equal. Some bottles claim to be a natural transition from breast to bottle but they don't work as well as others. I find that before I buy a bottle I want to try and feel the nipple and see if the silicone is very flexible or smooth and if it is shaped similarly to a mother's nipple and moves similarly to a mother's nipple. Some bottles claim to do that but don't. Sometimes only trial and error will show you. I find bottles that claim to reduce colic and also have a very flexible soft silicone nipple to be the best bet to start with. You want to choose a nipple that allows a baby to instead of sucking with a free flow drip, that has a flow controlled by the baby's suckling. A breastfed baby doesn't suck on the nipple. They milk the areola. So you want a nipple that functions in a similar way. All babies are different. Some might come to this naturally. Some you might have to work on it with them and some babies might flat out refuse a bottle. They are all different. Thanks for watching.
