Hi, I'm DeeDee Black. And today, I'm going to show you how to do a cute messy bun with braids. One of the reasons why you'd want to do a messy bun is you can change that plain boring bun into a fun one. first, you're going to start out by combing the hair from the front to the back. And the hair in the back, you're going to comb it straight up. When you have it in the place where you like it, you will take your bungee type ponytail holder and secure it in place. Placing the bobby pin in first, going around the ponytail clockwise. Making sure you're pulling the ponytail too tight. Remember it's supposed to be cute and messy, not straight and sleek. Once your ponytail holder is secure in place, then you're going to split the hair in two sections. Securing one section aside and clipping it out of your way. then I'm going to braid the first section, I'll braid it all the way down to the end. Making sure my braid is not too tight and not too lose. then once I'm done, I'm going to clip that and hold that out of the way. Then I'm going to braid my second section. Just repeating what I did with the first one. Once that's done, I'm going to take the braid and wrap it around the ponytail, securing it in place with a bobby pin. Once that is done, I'll take the second braid and loop it through the lose part of the other ponytail. And then, secure that in place with a bobby pin. When both braids are secured, then you're going to spread the braids slightly, making sure that you don't pull them apart too much. Because then your braid may fall apart. but just enough it give it that fun, messy look. When the braids are separated to your liking, then you have a cute, fun messy bun.
