I'm Aaron Tucker, and this is "boot size versus dress shoe size." The size is pretty much going to be the same. It's the fit that's gonna be your concern. The size is gonna be the same. Why? Because shoe makers want you to know what size you wear when you go to try these shoes on. But, the question is the fit because a dress shoe is gonna fit a little more snug than a boot. Why? Because boots are meant for colder weather, so they're meant to be worn with thicker socks. So, you wanna keep in mind when you're trying on either ones, that you have the proper socks on, and, it may seem like a little bit of work, but if you're going shoe shopping, you should already have it in your mind that you're gonna to try on different types of shoes. You might wanna take two pairs of socks. This way, you make sure that the fit is correct when you're wearing a thicker sock for your boots, a thinner sock for your dress shoes. So, keep these in mind when you're purchasing, but start around whatever your normal shoe size is and go from there if necessary. But, don't try these shoes on with the improper socks because that will lead you to buying the wrong size and it's gonna cause an uncomfortable fit in the long run.
