Hi, I’m Chef Jamie Gwen. This is how to make a Boursin cream sauce – totally rich, decadent, and indulgent! My Boursin cream sauce starts with sautéed mushrooms for full, fabulous, earthy flavor, and it’s perfect spooned over simply roasted chicken breasts alongside a fresh arugula salad. Melt one tablespoon of unsalted butter in a small sauce pot, along with one tablespoon of olive oil. Add one shallot that’s been minced, and sauté, stirring often, for about two minutes. Once the shallot has begun to caramelize, add one cup of slice crimeni mushrooms. Saute, stirring often, until the mushrooms release their liquid and begin to turn golden. Season the mushrooms with salt and pepper, and sauté for one to two minutes more, or until the mushroom are caramelized and golden brown. Add a half a cup of white wine and de-glaze the pan, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom of the pan for fabulous flavor. Add one quarter-cup of garlic and fine herbs Boursin cheese to the pot and whisk to combine, allowing the cheese to melt into the sauce to create creamy deliciousness! Serve with chicken, meat, or pork, and enjoy!
