Hi, I'm Coleen Christian Burke, and I'm going to show you how to embellish a crystal ornament. This is a super easy project that will add glamour to your tree. You will need crystals from an old chandelier, I'm using a bell shape, a tear drop and your classic oval crystals in a couple of different sizes. You'll also need a three-eighth inch ribbon, floral wire and wire cutters. First, clean your crystals using a mixture of a little white vinegar and water. Next, look at your crystals. If they are missing their original hooks, make a new hook with a floral wire. And the last step is tying a bow on your crystal. Any color adds flare. An alternate embellishment uses old costume jewelry and crystals together. Simply wire the jewelry to the top of your crystal, hang them on your tree, and enjoy the sparkle.
