Hi, I'm Coleen Christian Burke, and I'm going to talk about the holiday tradition of candles in jars at Christmas. Candles at the holidays have a very long tradition. They were used on the very first Christmas trees. A white candle is the traditional color for the Christmas candle, and it's said if you burn a candle from start to finish on Christmas eve, you will have luck and fortune in the year ahead. I've got two simple ideas for you to use candles in jars at Christmas. Take three mason jars of the same size and place them in a straight line. Fill them with the white candle, the Christmas color, and it's that simple. The second idea is to group three jars of different sizes. Place some red beads in the bottom of the jar and around the base. Two very pretty options for using candles in your home at Christmas.
