Hi. I'm Michael Bremmer, and I'm here today to talk to you about technology spillover. What is technology spillover. Technology spillover is anytime a new technology comes out and has unexpected benefits for other industries. For example, Android and iPhone devices. Real Estate agents actually use these now in the field to make offers on houses and you can actually sign the Android device or iPhone device instead of signing three reams of paper. Another technology spillover that we all use every day is Symette. The modern version of Symette was created by a Frenchman that was trying to create a stronger flower pots. Another thing that people see and we see more in the modern world of today is Voice Over IP Internet services and inexpensive Internet services across the world. This has allowed companies to source employees across the world and bring up people's standard of living because of ubiquitous Voice Over IP and cheap Internet service. Finally, you know we always used to have a video camera, and a still camera, well today's cameras are so good that they actually can do both which saves quite a bit of money for the amateur photographer and videographer and it let's you carry one device. This is technology spillover and I'm sure if you really think about it there's a few other things in your life that were invented for one thing and are used quite differently.
