Hi, I'm Steve Clark of RFC of San Francisco. Today, we're gonna speak about "which to do first when remodeling a kitchen: the countertop, or new appliances?" When I remodel a kitchen, I love to have my new appliances on hand before my countertops get installed. But, before I order my new appliances, I make sure my cabinets are in place, the plywood that will be underneath the countertops is installed, that way, I'm not moving appliances around the kitchen, possibly damaging them, possibly damaging other areas of my work. When the countertops do get here, and have been fabricated, that way the appliances are there, in place, in case the countertops need to be shaved. That's especially important around the oven area. Trust me, I've had situations where the countertop has been a little too long, and the oven will now not fit into it's space. If the oven's there, and you see that problem, the countertop installers can easily shed or shave that countertop so it will accommodate that appliance. I'm Steve Clark, of RFC of San Francisco, a licensed general contractor, and a licensed plumber. Today, we spoke about "which to do first: the countertops, or new appliances." Thanks for watching!
