I'm Aaron Tucker, and this is how to tie a four-in-hand knot. If you need to where a tie for any specific reason and you're not really used to wearing ties, a four-in-hand is the simplest cleanest know for a beginner tie. First, you want to take your tie lay it across your neck. You're gonna have the broader end of the tie longer than the shorter end because that's the end you'll be using to tie the knot. You're gonna cross over the skinny end of your tie with the broad end. Now that you have them intersecting you're gonna bring the broader end through the loop and around your neck. Once you bring it through you're gonna cross it around the back and the front of the tie. You already have your knot pretty much created. So now you're gonna take the tie and bring it up through the neck and down through the loop that you've created. From there use the skinny end of the tie to tighten the knot use the broader end of the tie to adjust the knot around the neck to the desired height.
