Hey, my name's Zach, and I wanted to show you how to shut down your Windows desktop. Now I'm running a Windows 8 desktop right now, and there's actually some confusion on how you're actually supposed to shut this thing down. So I'm gonna show you the exact steps that you need. So, in order to shut this down, what I would do is go to my start menu, and I would have to click here and then hit sign out. Once you've hit sign out, there's gonna be a shutdown option in the bottom right-hand corner. But if you don't like these steps like me, I really don't like it, so I actually got a program called Classic Shell, which actually skips that screen all together and it looks just like Windows 7 but you're running the smaller Windows 8, and it runs much faster. So, all you have to do is search Classic Shell download in Google, and you'll go to ClassicShell.net. You just hit download now here. Once you have it installed like I do now, all you have to do is click start and you can go to shutdown. There's also other options here where you could restart, hibernate, sleep, lock, log off or switch users. You can also search for Classic Shell, and go to the Explorer settings. This way we can change all of our options. There's also the menu settings. You can change your skin here, and you can do a bunch of different options, and you can customize what's actually in the start menu. If you ask me, Classic Shell is a really slick program. It makes it easy, and what you're actually doing is effectively hiding the Windows 8 screen. You can still access it though, and I'm gonna show you how to do that real quick. All you have to do in order to access the Windows 8 menu is scroll down in the left-hand corner right by where this button is and hit, and hold shift and then click, and it will bring you right to the start screen. My name's Zach, and I hope this video helped. Thanks for watching.
