Hi. My name is Eylene Pirez, and I'm an astrophysicist and this is how often does the moon spin on its axis. So the moon actually spinning. A lot of people believe that it's not and it's because the actual rotational speed is so slow. So what happens to the moon in order to rotate that slow. So the gravitational field, the earth is creating friction on the moon and is actually slowing down the rotation. And it the rotational speed, is 10 miles an hour. So that's very, very slow. So now how often does it complete a rotation. And the period is 27.5 days. And that's how often the moon spins on its axis. My name is Eylene Pirez and I'm an astrophysicist.
