Hi I'm Patrick Coll and I'm here today to talk about what does authorize my computer mean. So you may have come across a message asking to authorize your computer and wonder what that means. Simply when you make purchases from the iTunes store, you're authorized to play those purchases, videos, music, TV shows on up to five devices that you own. Now to prove that you own them, you have to authorize them. And you may have got a new computer and it asks you to authorize it once you try to play some content that you've purchased from the iTunes store in which case it will ask you to authorize it and you can do so by entering your password. You can also preempt this by going to the store menu in iTunes and clicking on authorize this computer. It will come up with your Apple ID, you enter your password and then you've authorized it and you're good to go to play your media from the iTunes store. I'm Patrick Coll, hope this has been helpful, thank you for watching.
