Hi I'm Jaclyn Peresetsky and today we're going to discuss what color of blonde do you choose if you have a darker skin tone. Well darker skin tones I hate to tell you, but you've got to be really careful when choosing that shade of blonde because you do not want to look washed out. In fact you want to do everything to make your skin look its best. Our model, Sidney, here has a darker skin tone and she has this beautiful caramel skin. Well when choosing blonde highlights as you see she has blonde highlights in her hair, she's had to be careful on what shade of blonde she chooses so it doesn't wash her skin tone out and she also has these gorgeous hazel eyes and hazel eyes look great with any type of blonde. Now if you have a dark brown eye and also you have a darker skin tone, you have to be even more subtle with your highlight choice. So even if you have a darker skin tone, you have to think about are you warm or are you cool? That's going to play a very important role when choosing that highlight because it's called the tone. What tone of highlight should you choose? And always remember, do not go darker or lighter than your natural coloring. So make sure if you have a darker skin tone, don't go super blonde or you're going to have to wear a lot more makeup to make that look good or don't go super dark. You want to stay in harmonies. So Sidney is a middle tone value skin so you want to stay in middle tone value. It's very very important. So I hope this helps when choosing a highlight color for darker skin tones. It's going to be great tips and make sure you explain your hair stylist what your desired look is.
